Catholic Action for Street Children is a Ghanaian NGO which defends and protects the rights of “out of school Children”.
Although the members of staff are from various denominations, CAS works under the umbrella of the Catholic Church. The Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Accra-Ghana is the legal owner of the project.
CAS is completely dependent on the support of donors and donor organisations and does not carry-out income generating activities. However, items made by the children are sold so that new materials can be bought.
CAS has certificates of the Department of Social Welfare, Registrar of Companies and of Accra Metropolitan Assembly of registration of NGOs.
CAS is a member of various coalitions such as:

1. The Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights (ARHR)
2. The NGO coalition of the Department of Social Welfare
3. The sister NGO coalition, Street Girls Aid, Salvation Army and CAS
4. New Urban Childhood.

CAS for its sponsorship program collaborates with a network of schools and workshops who are training the children.
