Catholic action for street children has been preparing towards organizing a mini Olympic Games for the children out there on the street. This is in connection with the on-going Olympic Games in the United Kingdom. As preparation towards the Olympic Games, the organizations as well as the children have been engaged in series of activities geared towards it. The mini Olympic Games was scheduled to take place on the 8th of August 2012.
However, due to some reasons beyond the organization’s control and the fact that the president of the nation former president of Ghana would be buried that very day, we could not organize it anymore. It has been a disappointment to the children but we assure them of organizing similar games for them in the near future when all is well.
